Take advantage of the ability of the Healing Brush to "use all layers."
Create a new blank layer above your image and in the Options Bar, click "Use All Layers" box. Then use the Healing Brush as you normally would, but notice how the the pixels appear on the new layer.
You can use the layer's opacity and/or blending modes to alter the affects of the Healing Brush.
